Accomplishments

  • Flag Football: * The Flag Football team finished as TSSAA Class AA State Runner-up on Friday. They finished the season with a record of 20-3.
  •  

    Esports: * MJHS Esports won Cybercon 2027.
    • Special shoutout to Devin Prince, Carlos Guzman-Loyola, and Nathan Davis.
    • This makes MJHS the best Smash Bros team in the state.
    • Students competed for over 12 hours this past Saturday.
    • The B-team, consisting of Jabari Thompson, Erik Lucas, and Keeton Hackman, took 4th place.
  • Honorary Diplomas: * More than 75 MJHS Seniors participated in giving out Honorary Diplomas to an adult at MJHS who had a major impact on them during their time as a studentBNN recorded some of these deliveries, which can be found on their official streaming page under "2026 Honorary Diplomas".


Senior and Grauation Info

  • Graduation for the Class of 2026 will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the MTSU Murphy Center.

  • Admission is free and there is no limit on guest attendance.
  • Updates and specific facility safety restrictions can be found on the school's official graduation link.


Final Exams: * Final Exams for Seniors take place today during 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th blocks.

  • The exam schedule for 9th through 11th graders is split across Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Wednesday covers 1st and 2nd block exams during those respective blocks.
  • Thursday covers 3rd and 5th block exams during the 1st and 2nd blocks.
  • The full Wilson County Schools Exam Policy 
  • Students are permitted to leave after exams on Wednesday and Thursday if they provide a signed parent note.

Athletics & Student Life

  • Bowling Tryouts: June 2–3, 3:00–5:00 PM at Hermitage Strike and Spare.

  • Football Bear Camp: May 27–28 for rising 3rd–9th graders.
  • Cheer Summer Camp: June 8–10; register by May 29 for a t-shirt.
  • Rising Seniors (Class of 2027): Painted parking spots are now on sale.
  • MJHS Girls Soccer: * Girls Soccer Tryouts are scheduled for May 22–23 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the MJHS soccer field. Participants must bring cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle.A copy of an updated physical examination dated April 15, 2026, or later is strictly required to participate
  • Football (Bear Camp): * Bear Camp 2026 is scheduled for May 27–28 from 5:15 PM to 8:00 PM for rising 3rd through 9th graders. The event is sponsored by MJ Football and S&L Electric. 

  • Bowling Team: * Tryouts for the 2026–27 season will take place on June 2nd and June 3rd from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.The tryouts are located at Hermitage Strike and Spare. An updated physical examination copy must be presented to try out.
  • MJHS Cheer: * Summer Youth Camp registration is open for children ages 3 to 12.  The camp runs from June 8–10, 2026, between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM.  The cost is $125 per camper. Payment must be submitted by May 29th to guarantee a camp t-shirt. Sibling and teacher discounts are available by contacting the program coordinators directly.

Reminders

  • PTSO-Painted Parking Spots: * Class of 2027 Painted Parking Spots are now on sale for rising seniors. There is a 3-step process required to reserve a spot, outlined in detail on the reservation form. A limited number of primed spots are available.Information can be accessed via the "Rising Seniors Painted Parking Spot Form".

  • General Info: * Links are provided for the 2025-26 WCS Student Code of Conduct and the 2025-26 WCS Dress Code. Additional documentation links include the 2025-26 WCS Attendance Policy, the Parent Student Handbook, the Drop off & Pick up Map, and the Student Parking Pass Form. Outside food deliveries for students are strictly prohibited.
  • Lesson Plans: * Digital access to weekly schedules is provided via the Parent/Student View Planbook Lesson Plan.

  • Counseling: * Active resource links are available for the TN College Waiver Plan, Transcript Requests, the MJHS Scholarship Info Database, ACT Resources, and the College for TN Direct Admissions platform.
  • Registration & National Honor Society: * Parents of students currently in grades 9 through 11 who are not returning to MJHS for the 2026-2027 school year must formally notify the school registrar. The notification must include the student’s full name and the name of the destination school. The National Honor Society is collecting unused school supplies and new or lightly used backpacks from departing seniors. Collection boxes are located in the Commons and inside room B119.

  • Football (Jersey Sale): * The MJHS Football Jersey Sale is open to alumni, fans, and community members via the official online request form. Buyers must submit their preferred jersey color and number. Once a request is confirmed, an official invoice link will be issued, giving the buyer 72 hours to complete payment on a first-come, first-served basis
